ornitho app NaturaList now also available for iPhones!

After many envious glances at Android users, the time has finally come: the ornitho app NaturaList has also been available in the Apple App Store since this week. This means that iPhone users can now also record observations directly in the field without having to take the diversions for the beta test version. Already today, almost 50 % of the observations reach us via mobile devices - and the trend is rising rapidly.

The iOS version for Apple devices is currently a basic version for entering casual observations. The range of functions of NaturaList for the iPhone is limited compared to the Android version. In particular, an option to change entries and enter observation lists is still missing. Work is already underway to make these functions available for the iPhone as well.

The app is free in the basic version and for entering observations. Additional functions for querying observations near one's own location can be added as in-app purchases. With your contribution you directly support the further development and maintenance of the app, in three levels, depending on how much it is worth to you: as a "Basic" subscription (2.99 €/year), as a "Follower" subscription (4.99 €/year) or "Big Fan" subscription (10.49 €/year). The use of these functions is not necessary for reporting observations.

You can access the new iOS version of NaturaList in the app store as well as via the QR code shown. Instructions for using the app on Android - which also includes all the functions available in the iOS version - can be found at https://www.ornitho.de/index.php?m_id=20033.

Our sincere thanks go in particular to the Swiss Ornithological Institute, which financed the development of the app to a large extent.

We hope you enjoy the new possibility of mobile data entry and wish you beautiful observations.

The team of ornitho.de and ornitho.lu

Note to all beta testers:
A larger group of people has already tested the iOS version of NaturaList for us in the past years. Many thanks! The previously provided beta version for the iPhone will be deactivated soon. Please install the official app available in the app store.
