Established neozoa transferred to general abundance classes

In ornitho, colour differentiation is used to distinguish at first glance between common species and rarities. Captive escapees, neozoa and hybrids are also shown separately (in blue). In consultation with representatives of the nationwide ornitho steering groups, it was decided to transfer the neozoa established in Germany to the general frequency categories in future. A corresponding adjustment has taken place as of today for the following species of categories C1-C4 according to the current German Species List:

  • Common Pheasant
  • Canada Goose
  • Ruddy Shelduck
  • Egyptian Goose
  • Mandarin Duck
  • Feral pigeon
  • Rose-ringed Parakeet

Non-established neozoa, as well as captive escapees and hybrids, will continue to be shown in blue as usual.

Many greetings

The ornitho.de/.lu team
